Who doesn't like inspirational quotes? Those little clusters of clever words from prominent figures. Not me, though. I find the nonsense uttered by celebrities far more illuminating. "Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible," famously proclaimed Lord Kelvin, one of the most preeminent physicists of his time, only to be proven utterly wrong by a couple of bicycle mechanics just a few years later. The real trick is never to let your ego outrun you.
